"Positive vibes only" is a popular, collective way of thinking. It has its merits. It commonly refers to being highly selective about whom you allow in your life, and outright rejecting people who have a toxic effect on your life. It is a reflection of respectfully setting a boundary.
It could be construed, though, as a reason to feel shameful about experiencing difficult emotions. Perhaps not for the average person, but for those struggling with grief or mental health. In this case, is it actually a harmful message to convey?
